If I had to select 2 activities that will prepare me best for kiteboarding (as I have limited time). I would choose swimming and yoga. Two activities that are the most underrated in athletics performance in my opinion.

Both yoga and swimming are quite boring as you don't interact with other people and don't see the results from day to day. However my training goals are to avoid injuries and kiteboard for as long as possible. Thus I need to perform sports that will engage my entire body and have small impact on my joints and ligaments. When I am kiteboarding I am putting a lot of impact on my body when I take off and land. This said I don't want to perform activities that will put a big stress on my body, especially when my body is not ready to take that much impact (after pregnancy).

The benefits from swimming and yoga are numerous few to look at if you aiming to get better at kiteboarding:

🏊‍♂️Swimming:
- Feeling more confident in the water
- Good endurance training with low impact on joints and ligaments
- Fast endurance building
- Entire body engaged to perform the movement
- Movement connects with breathing

🧘‍♀️Yoga:
- Flexibility and bigger range of movement.
- Better body awareness and motor control
- Entire body engaged with big influence on core and back muscles
- Peace of mind

We all train differently but if you looking for something specific for kiteboarding.

These two activities will help you out in many ways. Just stick to the routine and trust the process 😊
