Freestyle Clinic Turkey
My partner and I recently did the GameOn clinic in Urla, Turkiye. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but absolutely didn't expect to have so much fun. The clinic felt like hanging out with talented friends that encourage you to ride hard, ride well and push yourself to try things. The days were only loosely structured, but not in a bad way. We'd discuss plans for the day, and review video from the previous day during breakfast before heading out to ride. Riding was a mix of proper coaching (do 3 or 4 attempts, get feedback and try again), and enjoyable group freeriding. The flexible structure meant adapating to wind conditions, fatigue and breaks for lunch to really get the most from each day. While I learnt a lot of specific, technical things during the clinic, I've also gained a huge amount of confidence, ability and a deeper understanding of kiteboarding in general. My first session on the water after the clinic felt like I'd unlocked a new level of riding. I could stomp everything I'd learned so far, and landed a new unhooked trick on the second attempt. Overall, it was one of the best week's of kiting I've had in a long time. Would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to learn, progress or just have a great kite experience.
